Patryk Kownacki, MD, PhD.

Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Surgery of the Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Oral Surgery Division of The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. Medical doctor, clinician. Graduate of postgraduate studies in dental implantology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Active Member of OSIS and the European Dental Implantology Society – EDI. Author of numerous publications and presentations, both domestic and international, in the field of implant surgery.

Dr Patryk Kownacki specializes in dental and implant surgery and techniques of restoring hard and soft tissues within the oral cavity. He performs all kinds of surgical procedures, including endodontic microsurgery and implantology.

His patients appreciate his sense of humour, friendly atmosphere that he creates as well as his precision and gentleness. He is also known for his individual approach to each patient, being concerned with patients' comfort and understanding their needs and concerns.

Dr Patryk Kownacki is the owner of the Kownacki-Dent Dental Centre.

Marta Czownicka, MD, PhD.

Dentist, Periodontist

A graduate of the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University, at the dentistry department of the medical faculty. Working as a university lecturer and course instructor in periodontology for students at the Charité University of Berlin and course supervisor at the school for dental hygienists Pfaff Institute Berlin, she obtained her doctorate in medical sciences from the Berlin university in 2016 and the title of expert in clinical periodontology at the Complutense University in Madrid.

She looks after patients in the field of periodontology and implantology, including holistic medicine. She helps to diagnose the causes and control the problems of bleeding gums, unpleasant breath, bone loss and the formation of periodontal pockets and exposed tooth necks. She performs aesthetic microplastic surgery of the periodontium and tissues around implants.

At the same time, she is a simultaneous translator from English, German and Spanish and a conference lecturer.

In her free time, she is passionate about healthy cooking, experimenting especially with Asian cuisine.

Wojciech Papla, MD.

Dentist

Graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. During studies, awarded the Rector's scholarship for scientific achievements. Currently a member of the Polish Endodontic Association and European Society of Endodontology.

Dr Wojciech Papla loves working with magnifying devices, endodontics, adhesive and aesthetic dentistry. At work, he follows a minimally invasive approach. He values the precision and accuracy of his treatments, and he always makes every effort to make sure that the treatment is carried out in comfortable and painless conditions.

To provide his patients with the highest level of care, he constantly develops his knowledge and improves his qualifications by participating in numerous workshops and courses.

Dr Wojciech is always smiling and is very positive. He is a fan of active recreation, extreme sports and automotive industry.

Roma Faron, MD.

Dentist

Graduate of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. At the Kownacki-Dent Dental Centre, Dr Roma Faron performs conservative treatment of both adults and young patients.

Dr Roma loves her patients. Her positive attitude and smile, which does not come off her face, helps her establish a connection in an instant. Each procedure she performs with the highest concentration, great precision and finesse. Every person can count on a large dose of empathy because Dr Roma makes every effort to make the patients who come to her office feel comfortable and safe.

Dr Roma is a highlander from Piwniczna who constantly wants to develop and grow. She takes every opportunity to participate in courses in dentistry, endodontics and aesthetic medicine. The ambition and persistence with which Dr Roma fulfils her professional dreams have also helped her to be successful in sports. Her greatest passion is volleyball, both indoor and outdoor, which she trains from an early age. She is also a fan of NBA basketball games.

Mariusz Filipek, MD.

Dentist

Graduate of the Silesian Medical Academy. After the postgraduate internship, Dr Mariusz Filipek worked at the Institute of Dentistry in Katowice. Dr Mariusz is a specialist in general dentistry and endodontics, which he practices with passion to this day.

Dr Mariusz regularly improves his qualifications by participating in numerous workshops and transforms his experience and knowledge into excellent treatment results and his patients' satisfaction. His patients' comfort is just as crucial to Dr Mariusz as the effects of the treatment. Therefore, as he admits, he always tries to plan the visits in a way that even the longest ones are not tiring. Each treatment is carried out precisely and gently, at the same time keeping the patient aware of the progress. He also tries to make the visit more enjoyable by telling exciting stories or joking.

Dr Mariusz is fascinated by the Universe and relaxes by watching the night sky through a telescope.

Oskar Woch, MD.

Dentist

A graduate of the Jagiellonian University. He specializes in dental prosthetics and conservative dentistry, with an emphasis on minimally invasive treatment.

In his work, he attaches great importance to the precision of the treatments performed, which is why he always works with dental loupes. He believes that the key to any successful treatment is appropriate diagnosis, plan and understanding of the patient's needs, which is why he approaches each person individually and with great care.

To provide patients with the best care, he constantly improves his qualifications by exploring dental literature and participating in numerous courses. One of the last ones in which he participated concerned new solutions in implant prosthetics and the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders.

He likes to spend her free time reading good books and discovering plant-based recipes. In addition, he is a great sports enthusiast - he swims, plays football as an amateur and always has a bicycle, which he uses to travel around Poland and beyond.

Oksana Mizhenina, MD.

Dentist, Orthodontist

A graduate of the Medical University of Kharkov. She specializes in general dentistry and orthodontics. In her professional career she has worked, among others, in one of the largest orthodontic clinics in Ukraine.

She treats both adults and children. She believes in the principle that proper orthodontic treatment begins in childhood, which is why her patients include even those who are just a few years old.

She is an extremely ambitious, meticulous and inquisitive person. She will find a solution even for the most difficult clinical case, and her patient work will lead to - sometimes - amazing results.

In her free time, she loves traveling and drawing using the Digital Art technique.

Anna Kaleta

Dental hygienist, Assistant

Registered nurse and a dental hygienist with many years of experience. Also experienced as a lecturer in one of the Cracow's schools for dental hygienists. Anna improves her skills by regularly participating in workshops and courses.

At the Kownacki-Dent Dental Centre Anna performs professional oral hygiene treatments and teeth whitening treatments using the Prevdent system.

Anna is always smiling and has a positive attitude. She ensures a pleasant and friendly atmosphere during treatments and cares for the comfort of the patients.

Paulina Cygan

Dental hygienist, Assistant

Graduated hygienist and dental assistant. Performs hygiene procedures, trainings and oral hygiene instructions for children and adults with the highest precision.

In the profession for 8 years. She loves what she does, and her greatest reward and mobilization for further professional development are the smiles of satisfied patients. Valued by both patients and colleagues for accuracy and composure.

Privately, she is an staunch sports supporter, with a special affection for team sports. A real lover of a healthy lifestyle.

Julia Bojarska

Assistant

Certified dental assistant and graduate of economic studies. She uses her managerial education in her everyday work at Kownacki-Dent.

Privately, she is very modest, always smiling and with an incredibly positive attitude. Appreciated by patients for her great empathy and the peace she exudes. It is the opportunity to have constant contact with patients that she values ​​her job the most, and she tries to see only the best in other people.

She divides her free time between dancing and swimming, and also likes drawing and folding origami.

Kinga Kasprzycka

Assistant

Licensed dental assistant. Has been working in the profession for 8 years.

Kinga is energetic, open and communicative, which makes her instantly establish an understanding with every patient. She loves people, so her work gives her great pleasure. She always puts the safety and comfort of her patients first.

She loves all types of sports and devotes every free moment to working out. And when she does not work out, she spends time with her friends.

Irina Shcherbyna

Assistant

She works as a dental assistant at the Kownacki-Dent Dental Center. But her first education is completely different. She graduated from the Odessa University of Technology, becoming an engineer in nuclear reactor protection automation.

In her current job, she particularly values ​​contact with patients and the trust they place in her. She makes every effort to make them feel comfortable during their visit. Every patient can always count on her full support and understanding, and with a moment of conversation or a warm smile she can encourage even the most stressed people.

She constantly develops her competences as a dental assistant and continues her psychology studies.

In all these endeavors, she can count on the support of the most important people, her husband and daughter.

In her free time, she likes to relax by the sea and in the mountains, as well as skiing. A big fan of cats, she admires them for their charm and collects their figurines.

Patrycja Baranik

Manager, Patient care

At Kownacki-Dent, she coordinates the work of the team and ensures that everything functions perfectly. She also acts as a patient advocate – helping patients through the entire treatment process, taking care of their comfort, answering questions, and providing care both during treatment and recovery.

She constantly improves her qualifications by taking part in courses and training. She is fascinated by natural medicine, so she devotes every free moment to exploring the subject. She loves discovering new corners of our country. She tries to plan trips so that her little travelers – her son and daughter – can always come along.

Dorota Faron

Assistant of the Board

At Kownacki-Dent, she works as the assistant of the management Board who deals with the administrative and official part of our clinic's activities on a daily basis. In her free time, she also takes care of its visual side. The beautiful bouquets at the reception are her work.

Ambitious and creative at work, she approaches each task with full commitment. He is a person you can always rely on. She is also the life of the party - cheerful and with a great sense of humor.

She is interested in psychology and floristry, and likes to relax with a good book or a drawing set.

Katarzyna Jałocha

Receptionist

Kamila, being on of our two receptionists, is the first person to greet patients crossing the Kownacki-Dent doorstep. She loves constant contact with people, so everyone can count on her commitment and readiness to help. A smile that does not come off her face is reassuring even to the most worried patients.

She can infect everyone with positive energy and encourage even the most stressed patient with her sense of humor or engaging in conversation.

She attaches great importance to ensuring that patients always receive comprehensive information and advice.

Privately, a graduate of the Pedagogical University of Kraków, who is constantly expanding her knowledge. She spends her free time actively, mainly playing volleyball and cycling.

Agnieszka Daniel  

Receptionist

The second of our duo of reliable receptionists and medical registrars. She combines her work at Kownacki-Dent with studies at the School of Makeup and Styling "Artystyczna Alternatywa" in the field of make-up and styling.

At work, she makes sure that patients feel good from the first moment spent in the clinic. A professional with huge amounts of empathy, always ready to help and support. And at the same time a volcano of positive energy that can engage anyone in conversation and thus make the time while waiting for the appointment more pleasant.

In her free time, she trains Krav Maga, is also a huge dog lover, and recharges her batteries by spending time in nature. No wonder her favorite color is green, which symbolizes freedom, happiness and energy.

Maciej Ożóg

He has been associated with the Kownacki-Dent Dental Center since 2006, but his experience in the profession is even longer, as he has been working at the University Hospital in Krakow for over 20 years.

He is a professional devoted to his work, but also a person with a great sense of humor and distance from what he does. By inviting you to his office, you will surely hear from Maciej that there is nothing to be afraid of, because he is not a dentist and he does not hurt.

Privately, he is a father, partner, reliable friend and a person with extremely broad interests, ranging from photography, bonsai cultivation and billiards, to being a fan of concerts and "heavy" music, nature untouched by human hands, playing pool, and aquascaping… to amber crafting. There is no way you won't find a common topic to discuss with him.
